The council said that they didn't care about the overhang, cable etc. but, if you can only go 2.0 meters on a boundary, then surely you can't overhang the boundary 'line' over 2.0 meters high? if i am only allowed to go 2.0 meters high, then surely you can't penetrate that imaginary boundary line over and above 2.0 meters?. Any shed must be built at least 2.5m away from the main house. it’s advisable to be able to walk round all four sides, or however many you choose. this gives you access for decorating and repair. butting your shed right against a garden fence doesn’t allow the shed room to ‘breathe’ and is an invitation for damp to set in..
