replacing wood shed floor with concrete
Easiest solution for repair or replacement for shed floor i have a friend looking for the least expensive and easiest way to replace or repair her shed floor and has asked for my help. the shed has a wood frame, and either particle board or plywood floor that unfortunately was placed directly on the ground.. This is my rotten shed floor. it was build on a cement pad. the builder put down shingles on the cement, then 2x4s flat, then built the shed on that mess. years later, i get to deal with all of this.. Regardless of your shed size, it is possible to put a foundation under it. remember the basic steps; lift, level, stabilize. once that’s done, you can put a foundation under it. choose the foundation that fits the shed, its location, and your budget. small sheds can go on concrete slabs or blocks.. I realised recently that part of my shed floor had sunk. when i pulled up the carpet i found that the wooden floor had rotted away. after pulling away some of the rotted wood it looks (to me) as though the underlying support is still in tact. i don't know how old the shed is. the property is around 20 years old, so the shed will be less than that..
