shed floor to hold car
When i worked for a company that built sheds, we'd double-layer the plywood floor for people who wanted to store cars in them. floors were usually framed with 2x6 on 12" centers. as for the load under each wheel, it's actually equal to the tire psi (assuming the tires are inflated within proper range). convert to psf by multiplying by 144.. We've upgraded the floor joists to 2x4s spaced 12” on center. for even more strength and weight bearing capacity, choose the double plywood option. if your car shed will be situated in a damp location, or simply for added longevity, we can also upgrade your floor and/or floor joists to pressure-treated lumber.. I need to level the area myself and they will assemble the shed right on top of it. the strongest flooring option is a double 5/8" plywood floor with 12" oc 2x6 joists. is this strong enough to store a car (let's say an audi q5 which is 15 feet long and 4400 lbs) plus some garden equipment such as a tractor, lawn mower, snow blower, and tiller?. shed floor to hold car
