1” x 6” lumber may be great for fencing or use on decks with extra support, but not for a shed floor. it isn’t as strong as plywood and will shrink creating gaps in the floor. 3/4-inch-thick t&g plywood is another option and is better than pressure treated lumber.. 2. use 1/2-inch pressure-treated plywood in a light-duty shed. for basic storage of hand tools such as rakes, shovels, trimmers and others, 1/2-inch pressure-treated plywood as a shed floor will. Osb and plywood are both commonly sold in 4-by-8-foot sheets, but osb can be made in much larger panels, up to 8-by-24 feet. using larger osb panels can be an advantage when flooring a big or odd-size shed, reducing the number of joints in a floor.. plywood for shed floor
